Day 4 of Euro 2012:
-What more could you ask for from England? Hodgson organized his squad very well and got a well-deserved draw. Was surprised the Ox got the start over Walcott or Downing. Gerrard and Parker form a great partnership in the middle. It’s nice to see a squad with a lot of talent also put in really good effort to defend as a unit. Oh yeah, all those who wanted Rio, what’re you saying now? Lescott defended well and scored England’s only goal. A dull, but ironically bright, start to England’s Euro campaign.
-The French players were very frustrated with England’s defensive tactics. They knew how England would play, but it’s still hard to break them down. Nasri scored a beauty. They dominated play, but they never really threatened England’s goal much. A point was fair. They’ll show their attacking power next match.
-Sweden is a little Portugal. They have their star in Zlatan, but the rest of the team is so average. He has to be more of a playmaker for his country, but he still found the back of the net. To sum it up, every decent chance falls to everyone BUT Ibra. Portugal has the same problem with CR7.
-The second lowest ranked team in the tournament used the home crowd to their advantage. Sheva bagged two headers to inspire the crowd. They have France next match and should return back to their normal performances.
-I think France will find a way to overcome Ukraine’s home advantage and pick up three points. England will do just m enough to pick up a win against Sweden to keep pace with France. Ukraine’s surprise win shakes up the group a little but nothing too crazy.
